Owned and operated by Glenn and Michele Faires since 1994, Golden Rock Dive Center prides itself on attentiveness to our customer's needs. Both Glenn and Michele have been in the tourism business for the term of their professional careers and have a good understanding of their customer’s needs, wants and desires. A big part of what we do here at Golden Rock Dive Center is not just diving...it's making sure our visitors enjoy the total experience of Statia.  We have a very international feel at the shop with our multilingual staff and dive travelers from around the world. The real star at Golden Rock Dive Center is Duncan, Michele and Glenn's chocolate Labrador, who gets the most treat packages and hello e-mail

Glenn Faires

Born in South Texas in 1964 - With 20 years diving experience and 14 years on Statia’s reefs, if you are looking for something special Glenn can tell you if it’s here and where to find it. Over the past few years he has taken an interest in U/W Photography and speaks about it with great enthusiasm.

Michele Faires

Born in Connecticut in 1968 - With 11 years diving experience. With her outgoing personality and willingness to please she is the one to talk to when you need help with something. Michele handles most of the communication with the visitors prior to their arrival also assisting in the planning and booking process.

Matt Barnard-Wilson

Born in 1982 and hails from Maryland - A graduate of Deakin    University - Australia.  He returned to USA in North Carolina in 2008 to start working on a dive career.  His travels has led him from the Florida Keys down to Tortola.   Hobbies include sailing &  surfing with friends. In constant search of warm weather and good diving it was only natural he ended up in Statia

Stefan Brom

Born in the Netherlands in 1973, He has 11 years dive experience ranging from Australia to Greece.  Stefan is a PADI Instructor who speaks English, Dutch and German. He has now settled down in Statia to enjoy the great diving Caribbean lifestyle.

Darlington Berkel a.k.a. "Bobby"

Duncan Faires (is a dog)

Born in Florida in 1999 - With swimming and retrieving experience. The only thing you have to watch out for with Duncan is his killer tongue! (He might lick you to death).
